Vermont Public Power Supply Authority (VPPSA)

VPPSA provides wholesale power supply to municipals and cooperatives in and outside of Vermont, as well as a host of other services such as rate studies, central computer services, load forecasting, and tax free financing of certain capital projects. The Affordable Renewable Community Energy (ACRE) program is a free community solar program that helps qualifying Vermonters lower their electric bills by $29.55 each month. The program is supported by funding from the Vermont Public Service Department, so there is no cost to apply and no cost to participate. Income-qualifying customers of Barton Electric can apply through August 31, 2026. Visit vppsa.com/acre to check if you qualify and apply to ACRE.
